CATERING SUPERVISOR

Description:

Schedule varies.  Must be available days, evenings, and weekends, with hours changing weekly. Typically shifts are between 6am and 9pm.

Must have high-volume/banquet/catering supervisory experience.

Duties:

The Catering Supervisor assists the Catering Manager in executing all essential functions relative to events produced by the Catering Department. These responsibilities primarily include: analyzing all events in order to properly administer set-up, execution, breakdown and clean up of all events; ongoing training of catering staff; oversee event staff; proper maintenance of vehicles; organization of all work areas; ensure the highest possible client/customer satisfaction levels relative to external and internal customers.

Qualifications:

•Attend all events as assigned by Catering Manager

•Ensure that all staff takes their breaks and clock out properly

•Ensure compliance with all Food Handling standards

•Establish and maintain appropriate inventory controls and pars on linen, equipment, food and beverage

•Efficient self-management

•Communicate all safety hazards to Catering Manager immediately and ensure that all associates are applying safe work habits to all actions as they execute their jobs

•Handle all company equipment with care to prevent damage and report any damage immediately should it occur

Highly organized with good time management skills and attention to detail

•Ability to work under pressure and meet established goals and objectives

•Ability to proactively problem solve

•Professional appearance, attire and demeanor

•Highly developed customer/guest service skills

•Must possess a valid driver's license and get trained and certified to drive company vehicles

•Ability to work independently as well as in a team situation

•Ability to work long hours with a varied schedule

•Able to lift 50 pounds on a continuous basis
